LONTAR: The Journal of Southeast Asian Speculative Fiction was established in 2012 as a biannual venue devoted to spreading awareness of and celebrating non-realist writing from and about Southeast Asia. I have been aided in my efforts by poetry editor Kristine Ong Muslim and comics editor Adan Jimenez. The journal is published by Epigram Books in Singapore, and the final issue will appear in April 2018.

Our contributors have won major literary awards in Singapore, the USA, UK, Taiwan, Japan and the Philippines, and include Dean Francis Alfar, Paolo Bacigalupi, John Burdett, Zen Cho, Aliette de Bodard, Sabrina Huang, Eka Kurniawan, Amanda Lee Koe, Ken Liu, E.C. Myers, Ng Yi-Sheng, Victor Fernando R. Ocampo, Geoff Ryman, Christina Sng, Cyril Wong, and Bryan Thao Worra.

Submissions are now closed, but you can still directly support the journal’s final issues by becoming a patron on Patreon. Depending on how much you pledge, there are multiple tiers that provide various cool rewards.
